Error During Login After AccountMate Payroll Tax Update
Yes, it’s important to regularly hit Utilities > Check for Payroll Tax Subscription Updates in AccountMate and it’s SUPER important to only install the updates at a time when you’re the only user logged in to the system.
The Symptom
If the Payroll Tax Subscription Update doesn’t install completely, then when users log in to AccountMate, they’ll get the following error:
Failed to update … PRFEDERAL.FXP …

The Solution
You’ll need to re-run the payroll tax subscription update—being SURE you’re the only user in the system when you do so.
