AccountMate 6.5i
AccountMate is very pleased to announce the release of AccountMate 6.5i (International Version). This release, along with the new user interface unveiled with AccountMate 6.5 earlier this year, includes strategically new design of Sales Tax Objects that support Valued Added Tax (VAT) and an enhanced Multi-lingual Engine that allows multiple levels of translation dictionaries. This international product allows even easier localization of country-specific sales tax rules.
Tommy Tan, AccountMate’s Chief Technology Officer, added “International Business Partners are involved in the specs development process. They also worked closely with the AccountMate Development and QA teams in testing the software and all the way through the release of the product. The two AccountMate 6.5 products (North America Version and International Version) will merge in the next major release of AccountMate software; thus allowing customers worldwide to benefit from the additional features within each of the products.”
TechNote
More and more companies are now relying on single print devices to print documents for their offices. Using a single print device means reduced space requirements, less technical support, and reduced overall costs for the company. This also can involve switching multiple paper form settings depending upon what document they want to print on that single print device. This week’s TechNote provides information on two ways to easily print documents in AccountMate using a variety of paper forms without the need to change paper in the trays.

Q: Why is it that when I ship a sales order, not all the inventory items in the sales order are shown in the Ship Sales Order screen?

Q: When I attempt to ship 10 units of a single inventory item, the system displays the message “Not all of the items can be shipped due to insufficient quantity.” It provides a default ship quantity of 3 even though the On-hand field displays 8. Why does this occur?
A: The default ship quantity supplied by the system is the quantity on hand in the specified bin. Access the Warehouse/Bins for Item # [xxx] window to view the item’s on-hand balances in different warehouses and bins. You can display the window by clicking the On-hand Detail Analysis button.

Q: When I generated the GL Transfer report, I noticed an entry with a description “Summary transfer from AP”. What does this mean?
A: This reference will appear on the report for each GL Account ID that is configured to transfer all transactions in summary and will change depending upon the module from which the report is generated. If you wish to view the details of the entry, mark the “Ignore Summary Settings” checkbox in the report interface before you generate the report.
