Dear AccountMate Clients:

Online presentations are just one of the many ways the Internet has changed modern business practices.  AccountMate has been utilizing this approach in educating their Business Partners, such as NexLAN, for quite a few years and are now starting to utilize this approach for providing information to the end-users too.

Thus, a special one-hour “What’s new in AccountMate SQL/7.3 Webinar” will be held on September 7th at 1:00 p.m. CDT.  If you are interested in attending please follow this link to register, and if you need any assistance in signing up please contact us here at NexLAN.  Seats are limited so please limit attendance to one login per company.

That’s this Friday and hope you take advantage of this free peak at the latest version of the product to see how it can improve your business processes!

Regards,

Kevin E. Stroud

Q: I created a sales order for a credit card customer, but when I verified the information in the Payment/Bill To/Ship To tab, the Chk/Card #, Exp Date and Cardholder name fields were blank even though I had a Credit Card pay code. What did I miss?

A: In the Settings tab of the Customer record verify that the card pay code is the same pay code used in the Credit Card Information area. If the pay codes are different then the credit card info will not be automatically populated in the Chk/Card#, Exp date and Cardholder name fields in the Payment/Bill To/Ship To tab when you create the sales order.

Q: How can I add an additional paid leave code to an existing employee record?

A: To perform this operation, follow these steps:

  1. Among the earning codes assigned to the employee, select an earning code to which you will designate the new paid leave code.
  2. Access the earning code in the Earning Code Maintenance function; then, in the Accumulate Paid Leave tab mark the Accumulate checkbox for the desired paid leave code.
  3. In Employee Maintenance, access the employee record; then, click the Refresh button in the Paid Leave tab.

Note: The Refresh button is a new feature introduced in AM7.2.
